Intellectual Production Work Day 6 In no more than three sentences, describe what educational theory of technology your production project is an example of.
Educational theory of technology Context -- audience? Who are people? What are purposes? Whose purposes are they? Appropriate technology -- not replicating old ways using new tools Teachers need more agency as producers/users -- not just consumers of ‘products’ -- students as also producers of knowledge/products To be educational -- not just constrained by comfort and familiarity -- becoming comfy w/ discomfort Destabilization of hegemonic power structures and traditional knowledge hierarchies Needs to actively empower students and teachers (not deskill -- think web ct)
