A “Typical” ASA Club • Mainly volunteers, although some do have paid Teachers and/or Coaches (full & part-time) • Affiliated to their county, region & national ASA • Constitution and committee – to run club affairs • Various roles within club, which include: • Chairman • Teacher/Coach • Treasurer • Secretary • Officials • Welfare Officer • Volunteer Co-ordinator • Marketing Officer
A “Typical” ASA Club • Operate at different levels • Financed through membership fees, grants/subsidies • Enter competitions at varying levels • Recruit members via marketing, word-of-mouth, club/school links, learn to swim programmes
