Overview • Gmail is one of the most popular e-mail services on the web. • Gmail allows users to compose, send, and receive emails. • Safety Issues – Gmail provides spam, virus, and phishing protection. • Audience – our classmates, professor, and any potential new Gmail user. • Time to complete – approx. 30 minutes • Equipment needed – any internet-connected device

Composing and Sending E-mail To send an email, follow these steps: • Click Compose Mail • Type an e-mail address in the To box, • Place a comma between e-mail addresses if you type more than one e-mail address. • Type your title in the Subject box • Type your message in the big box • If you want to check spelling errors, go to Check Spelling. • If you want to attach a file, go to Attach a file and click it. You can transfer a document by clicking the file name, and then click Open. It will automatically attach your file to your e-mail. • Click Send
