Every day 889 people in the UK are told they have cancer. As you can imagine this news not only turns their world upside down but their family, friends and work colleagues’ too. Macmillan is there as a lifeline. Who we are Macmillan is the UK’s leading cancer care charity providing support for people affected by cancer. The difference we make In 2012, we supported 1.9 million people living with cancer through at least one of our services – a 12% increase on 2011. The need Two million people in the UK today have had a cancer diagnosis. This number is expected to rise to four million people living with cancer by 2030. We need to reach more people with more of our services at the times that they really need us. And to do that, we need your help.
