  2. The layers of clay are very very old,with a thin layer of glacial deposits on top.So why are they so high above sea level today?How is the Ice Age responsible for their visibility to us?

  3. Some layers are 100 million year old deposits, from the Cretaceous.

  4. Clay deposits are extremely soft, so the erosion is significant. Notice the color of the water.

  5. Certain layers are rich with fossils. Based on the fossils, what can you say about how these layers formed millions of years ago?
