Its and EMTs job to respond to 911 calls and assist anyone who has been injured in the crime and bring them to the hospital for treatment. Lives can often depend on the fast response of an EMT.
There were 1,320,000 violent crimes reported in 2009 and its up to EMTs to save the victim’s life before he or she dies.
Our volunteer will be put into EMT training and will work as an assistant to an experienced EMT and be assigned to be EMTs in a dangerous area. Our volunteer will live off of the average EMT wages which is about $14.10 an hour. 3. Finally, our volunteer will have to deal with the stress of saving lives.
