Training Objectives • Overview of accessing, viewing and editing your Profile within the FMCSA Portal, including: • Maintaining personal, work and contact information • Requesting Administrative Access to Additional USDOT#s • Requesting General Access to Additional USDOT#s • Requesting Access to other FMCSA Systems for a specific USDOT# • Maintaining email preferences
Introduction to Viewing/Editing Your Profile • The FMCSA Portal allows Users to manage their own Profile • This functionality allows Company users to: • View and edit their personal, work or security information as necessary • View the USDOT#s for which they have administrative or general access • View the FMCSA Systems for which they have access to for USDOT#s • Remove administrative or general access for USDOT#s when no longer needed • Request administrative or general access for additional USDOT#s • Request access to FMCSA Systems for USDOT#s • Remove access to FMCSA Systems for USDOT#s when no longer needed
Accessing View My Profile • Access your profile information by selecting View My Profile under the Account Management menu item on the home page
Viewing/Editing General Information • The General Info tab allows Company users to view and edit their personal, security, and work/contact information
Viewing/Editing General Information (cont’d) • To edit your personal or work / contact information • Simply put your cursor in a field and type in new information or use the drop-down function to select new data where applicable • Click the Update Profile button to save the modifications made to your profile
Viewing/Editing General Information (cont’d) • To view and edit your security identification questions or answers • Click the View/Edit Security Questions button • On the View/Change Security Questions screen, select new security questions or type new answers for existing security questions • Click the Update Profile button to save the modifications made to your Security Questions
Viewing/Editing General Information (cont’d) • To view the current Rules of Behavior form • Click the View current version link • To print the current Rules of Behavior • Click the Print Current Version link
Viewing/Editing Portal Roles/USDOT# Access • The Portal Roles / USDOT# tab allows Company users to request or remove administrative or general access for a USDOT#, including requesting or removing access to the other FMCSA Systems: Data Qs, A&I and NCCDB
Viewing/Editing Portal Roles/USDOT# Access (cont’d) • To request administrative access to a USDOT# • Enter the company’s PIN # followed by clicking the Validate Pin button • Clicking the submit button will verify the entered PIN # is valid for the entered USDOT#
Viewing/Editing Portal Roles/USDOT# Access (cont’d) • To request general access to a company’s sensitive information for additional USDOT#s • Enter the company’s USDOT# followed by clicking the Submit button • Clicking the submit button will verify the entered USDOT# and not submit the account request
Viewing/Editing Portal Roles/USDOT# Access (cont’d) • To add Portal or other FMCSA System Roles to your profile • Select the role to add from the Available Roles list • Click the Add Role button to move the selected role to the Requested Roles list • Enter a Reason for Request to specify the reason for the role request
Viewing/Editing Portal Roles/USDOT# Access (cont’d) • To remove Portal or other FMCSA System Roles to your profile • Select the role to remove from the Requested Roles list • Click the Remove Role button • Enter a Reason for Request to specify the reason for the role removal
Viewing/Editing Portal Roles/USDOT# Access (cont’d) • Once you have completed entering the USDOT#s and roles for the company’s information you would like to access as well as the other required information • Click the Update Profile button to submit the request
Viewing/Editing Email Preferences • The Preferences tab allows Company users with the Company Official or Alternate roles to manage their email preferences • Request Submittal - An email notification generated when a request for a role is submitted • Request Submittal Reminder - An email notification that is generated when a request is not approved or denied 7 days after submittal of the request • Request Processed - An email notification that is generated when a request is approved or denied by the Company Official or the Company Official Alternate • Role Remove - An email notification that is generated when a Company User removes a role
Viewing/Editing Email Preferences (cont’d) • To edit your email notifications preferences • Select Yes for the email notifications you would like to receive • By default, On is selected for all email notifications • Select Off for email notification you would no longer like to receive • Click the Update Profile button to save the modifications made to your email notifications
Review • The FMCSA Portal allows Company users to view and modify their own user Profile • Users can use the View My Profile functionality to request or remove access to USDOT#s as well as request or remove access to FMCSA Systems for USDOT#s • Use the View My Profile functionality to request administrative access to USDOT#s if you are in possession of the PIN# for the USDOT# • Users with the Company Official or Alternate role, can manage their preferences for email notifications
