Scheduling Intermediate Referee Upgrade Observation • Requested by referee • Scheduled through the Regional Referee Administrator (RRA) • Assessor assigned by the RRA or Regional Director of Assessment (RDRA)
Scheduling Advanced RefereeUpgrade Assessment • Requested by the referee • Scheduled through the RRA • Assessor assigned by the Area Director of Assessment (ADRA)
Scheduling National RefereeUpgrade Assessment • Requested by the referee • Scheduled through the RRA • Assessor assigned by the Section Director of Referee Assessment (SDRA)
Scheduling a ServiceAssessment/Observation • Requested by the referee • Scheduled through the RRA • Assessor assigned by the RDRA, ADRA or SDRA
Preparation for Assessment • Prior to Game Arrive early; Give your pre-game; Inspect field, ball and players • During game Relax; Referee your own game; Work with your AR’s; Correct any errors and Be close to play; Demonstrate fitness; Anticipate play • After game Get refreshed; Listen to the Assessor’s comments; Ask questions of the Assessor; Get paperwork signed
Post Assessment • Review Upgrade form. • Remember: you are responsible for keeping your own record. • When all requirements are met and the Observation or Assessment is successfully completed: • Retain a copy of your record • Give copy to the appropriate approving authority • Follow up with approving authority • Confirm upgrade with your records on eAYSO.org.
