Overview of Worksheets Header Legend Degree Requirements • A student’s advising worksheet contains header, legend and detailed degree requirements.
Legend • The legend on the left of the worksheet explains symbols appearing in the advising worksheet.
Basic Student Information • The top of the advising worksheet shows the basic information of a student.
Communication: E-mail to Advisor Click the name of the advisor • If a student wishes to consult the advisor about the study plan, he/she can click on the name of the advisor to send an e-mail.
Degree Requirements-1 Block header Degree Block Click on hyperlink for details • The degree requirements are summarized in the degree block. You can click on the hyperlink for detailed requirements of each area.
Degree Requirements-2 Detailed requirements Courses that are used or still needed • Detailed requirements are shown on the left, while courses used to fulfill the requirements or courses still needed are listed on the right.
Unmet Rule-1 Click on hyperlink for course details • For courses that are still needed, you can click on the course code to see detailed course information .
Unmet Rule-2 Course code with asterisk • An asterisk means that a pre-requisite or pre-cursor is needed for that course.
English Proficiency Courses • Students with insufficient HKDSE English Language / A-Level Use of English score are required to take a 6-credit English Proficiency Course in addition. It is not counted in the minimum credits for graduation or in GPA calculations.
Notes from Advisor • If the advisor has written down any notes for the student, they will be shown at the bottom of the worksheet.
Registration Checklist • To quickly find out the courses the student still needs to take, select “Registration Checklist” and click the “Go” button to retrieve the list.
