Major Activities (I) • Ministry of Information and Communication • Has established radio frequency policy • Allocated 5.8 GHz Radio Frequency for ITS service • 20 MHz for private sector, 20 MHz for business sector • Has supported Standardization Research and Projects, and ITS industry strategy • Has directed mobile internet infrastructure • Has improved the environment of fair trade • Has established Transportation DB, and Telecommunication and Broadcasting Infrastructure • Ministry of Construction and Transportation • Has developed ITS Business • Has supported ITS Industry cooperation • Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy • Has supported Industry Relationship and Development of components. Major Activities (II) • ITS Forum • Subcommittees for ETC, DSRC and Traffic Information Service • Verified RF active ETC system • Telematics Forum (related with vehicles) • is studying telematics services and components • LBS Forum • is studying traffic information service, mobile GIS and component development • Highspeed Wireless LAN Forum • Is studying 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Standard and its related topics • LBS Industry Association • Has newly established to associate and cooperate between LBS service and Telematic business GSC-8, OTTAWA

Plan of TTA ITS PG • Telecommunications Technology Association will study • Standard of the Interface between DSRC systems • Standard of ITS communication Protocol Profile Framework • Standard of DSRC Radio Communication between Road-side Equipment and On-board Equipment in 5.8 GHz band (Amendment) • Standard of IR wireless communication for ITS • The standarization of Database Technologies and Application Software for ITS. - Geographic Data Files(GDF) - Physical Storage Format(PSF) - Location Reference System(LRS) and Update Publishing - Application Program Interface(API) GSC-8, OTTAWA
