Ship Observations Team National ReportsGERMANY (Oceanography) (Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography) • ARGO GERMANY2004-2006: ~100 floats (APEX and NEMO)funded by BMBF • North Atlantic (WOCE A2 corridor 42° - 51° N) (BSH Hamburg) • 2007:48 floats active (1500 m depth, 15 days) • after 2008: deployment of 50 floats each year (operational phase to be funded by BMVBS) • Tropical Atlantic(IfM-GEOMAR Kiel) 2007:32 floats active • Arctic waters (Weddell Sea) (AWI Bremerhaven ) 2007:12 floats active • Data processing is done in both in real-time and delayed mode in close collaboration with Coriolis / IFREMER.
