3. 1Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 1มีชายคนหนึ่งในพวกฟาริสีชื่อนิโคเดมัสเป็นขุนนางของพวกยิว

4. 2This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”

6. 3Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 3พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า “เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่าถ้าผู้ใดไม่ได้บังเกิดใหม่ผู้นั้นจะเห็นแผ่นดินของพระเจ้าไม่ได้”

7. 4Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” 4นิโคเดมัสทูลพระองค์ว่า “คนชราแล้วจะบังเกิดใหม่อย่างไรได้จะเข้าในครรภ์มารดาครั้งที่สองและบังเกิดใหม่ได้หรือ”

8. 5Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 5พระเยซูตรัสว่า “เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่าถ้าผู้ใดไม่ได้บังเกิดใหม่จากน้ำและพระวิญญาณผู้นั้นจะเข้าในแผ่นดินของพระเจ้าไม่ได้

9. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 6ซึ่งบังเกิดจากเนื้อหนังก็เป็นเนื้อหนังและซึ่งบังเกิดจากพระวิญญาณก็เป็นวิญญาณ

10. 7Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 7อย่าประหลาดใจที่เราบอกท่านว่าท่านทั้งหลายต้องบังเกิดใหม่

11. 8The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

13. 9Nicodemus said to Him, “How can these things be?” 9นิโคเดมัสทูลพระองค์ว่า “เหตุการณ์อย่างนี้จะเป็นไปอย่างไรได้”

14. 10Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? 10พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า “ท่านเป็นอาจารย์ของชนอิสราเอลและท่านยังไม่เข้าใจสิ่งเหล่านี้หรือ

15. 11Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony. 11เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่าพวกเราพูดสิ่งที่เรารู้และเป็นพยานถึงสิ่งที่เราได้เห็นแต่ท่านทั้งหลายหาได้รับคำพยานของเราไม่

18. 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 14โมเสสได้ยกงูขึ้นในถิ่นทุรกันดารฉันใดบุตรมนุษย์จะต้องถูกยกขึ้นฉันนั้น

20. 7And the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against you. Pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

22. 8And the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.”

24. 9So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.

26. 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 14โมเสสได้ยกงูขึ้นในถิ่นทุรกันดารฉันใดบุตรมนุษย์จะต้องถูกยกขึ้นฉันนั้น

27. 15that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life. 15เพื่อทุกคนที่วางใจในพระองค์จะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์”

28. 16“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงรักโลกจนได้ทรงประทานพระบุตรองค์เดียวของพระองค์เพื่อทุกคนที่วางใจในพระบุตรนั้นจะไม่พินาศแต่มีชีวิตนิรันดร์

29. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. 17เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงให้พระบุตรเข้ามาในโลกมิใช่เพื่อพิพากษาลงโทษโลกแต่เพื่อช่วยกู้โลกให้รอดโดยพระบุตรนั้น

30. 18Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

32. 19And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.

36. John ยอห์น 19:38-42 38After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away His body.

38. 39Nicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus by night, came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds in weight.

39. 39ฝ่ายนิโคเดมัสซึ่งตอนแรกไปหาพระองค์ในเวลากลางคืนนั้นก็มาด้วยเขานำเครื่องหอมผสมคือมดยอบกับกฤษณาหนักประมาณสามสิบกว่ากิโลกรัมมาด้วย39ฝ่ายนิโคเดมัสซึ่งตอนแรกไปหาพระองค์ในเวลากลางคืนนั้นก็มาด้วยเขานำเครื่องหอมผสมคือมดยอบกับกฤษณาหนักประมาณสามสิบกว่ากิโลกรัมมาด้วย

40. 40So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. 40เขาอัญเชิญพระศพพระเยซูลงมาเอาผ้าป่านกับเครื่องหอมพันพระศพนั้นตามธรรมเนียมฝังศพของพวกยิว

41. 41Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. 41ในตำบลที่พระองค์ถูกตรึงที่กางเขนนั้นมีสวนแห่งหนึ่งในสวนนั้นมีอุโมงค์ฝังศพใหม่ที่ยังไม่ได้ฝังศพผู้ใดเลย

48. 26And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him.”
