  2. What is an Oil Spill? • An Oil Spill is a leak of oil which can happen naturally or be created by man. • Since we drill for oil, we have to build oil rigs. • Oil rigs can fall down. When the pipe breaks oil starts to spew out of it. This is an oil spill.

  4. The Effects of Oil Spills • Oil spills kill a lot of animals, harm the environment, and make it harder to travel through that area.

  5. This is what can happen when there is an oil spill.

  6. How to stop Oil Spills from happening • There are only a few ways to prevent this from happening. • Stop using oil and start using more renewable resources. • We could armor the ships making it harder to destroy and leak, and reinforce the supports for oil rigs.
