Se forman los espermatocitos Las células situadas junto a las paredes de los túbulos seminíferos de los testículos, llamadas células germinales, se dividen y crecen, formando los espermatocitos. Espermatozoide Cabeza Espermátidas Pieza intermedia 2. Se forman las espermátidas Los espermatocitos experimentan un proceso de división especial, llamado meiosis y se originan unas células llamadas espermátidas. Cola 3. Se forman los espermatozoides Las espermátidas maduran, perdiendo gran parte de su citoplasma y adquiriendo la forma característica de los espermatozoides. Cuando completan su desarrollo, los espermatozoides son liberados al interior del túbulo seminífero.
