  1. How Third-Party Refurbishers are Helping to Eradicate E-Waste In today's fast-moving, super-speedy digital era, the eagerness to get hold of the latest gadgets and devices on an exponential rise. However, the increasing demand for the newest technology proves itself to be a mounting problem: electronic waste or e-waste. The generation of thousands of tons of e-waste every year, which obviously creates really damaging environmental impacts, does not seem to be stemming it much. However, a third-party refurbisher is working hard to fight back. In addition to reselling and recycling used electronics, they have also extended the life of devices, thereby reducing the amount of e-waste quite significantly. What is E-Waste and Why is it a Growing Problem? E-waste, an abbreviation of electronic and electrical equipment, is similar in range. It varies from old mobile phones, laptops, and televisions to household appliances like refrigerators and washing machines. The problem with the e-waste is that most of the discarded electronics typically contain hazardous materials, including lead, mercury, and cadmium, which are a threat to the environment and human health if disposed of without caution. This ever-increasing tech industry is rendering the electronic devices old at an alarming nature. And with consumers rushing to upgrade their system into the latest gadget, the older version sits into a heap of e-waste perilous for this global e-waste crisis. The Global E-waste Monitor also indicated that 53.6 million metric tons of e-waste were generated in 2019 and that such figures are going to continue rising. What is a Third-Party Refurbisher? A third-party refurbisher refers to a third-party independent firm or any other third-party organization that refurbished, repaired, and sold used electronic devices. Even though the original equipment manufacturers have their very own refurbishment programs, third-party refinishers source most of their devices from consumers, companies, or even some retailers. Third-party Refurbishers refurbish absolutely everything-from laptops and desktops to smartphones and other electronics. Conclusion Third-party Refurbishers add years to the life of the product, so this restoration is actually a part of the battle against e-waste, therefore it helps and strengthens a circular economy and gives cheap, refurbished products that can help reduce some of the damage done to the environment from the tech industry. As consumers we can do our own by choosing refurbished electronics over new and in doing so save ourselves some cash and a little bit towards a more sustainable future for ourselves.
