  2. Theory Of Evolution Charles Darwin was an English man who made famous the Theory of Evolution. He lived in the 19th Century. Darwin was a naturalist. Some one who studied natural history.

  3. The Beagle After studying at university for a while Darwin went on a voyage on a ship called the Beagle. The ship started out in England, it travelled to places in South America, South Africa, Australia and Mauritius.

  4. Different Species While he was abroad, Darwin studied many of the different species that he encountered. The crew found many fossils of creatures similar to ones that were still alive. Many adapted to that present environment.

  5. Similar Traits Once he was back in England, Darwin noticed some strange things. Many of the birds (and other animals) from different islands shared similar characteristics. Yet they where decided to be different species.

  6. Same Origins Further research showed that all of the species had started out from the same thing. As a creature spread to different environments, over the years, it would adapt to the place it lived. This meant that eventually it could become an entirely different species.

  7. Connection This began a look at other species. It was discovered that everything had a base roots, which connected something to lots of different species. Animals had made adaption's to survive.

  8. Publication At first this theory was ridiculed by many people when it was first published. Darwin didn’t want to publish his views on man’s evolution until people accepted the theory as a possibility.

  9. Man’s Evolution Darwin believed that everything evolved over time to survive. He even came up with a theory for man. Everything started out as single celled organisms. Things moved from sea to land. When things finally came to monkeys. Some evolved to be apes.

  10. Man’s Evolution Darwin says that human beings have evolved from apes. We are still evolving. Humans are learning new things everyday, even our physical shape has changed. We are getting taller with each generations and will eventually lose body parts that are not necessary any more.
