The World's Story I remember a time when the birds chattered and sang, When the fish glided down shimmering pools, And monkeys swung on towering trees Whilst panda mothers catered for their young But all that is gone now, Destroyed by the vicious greed of man!. Machines came and tore the world apart. Cubs were left stranded without mothers, And homes were destroyed, Man came and left me scrabbling for air I am dying now, Choked of my health by machines And now I am left, barren and bare, Condemned in the dust.
