Play the RHYTHMS! Grade 3-6 Students should say and play the rhythms. Methods for teaching the rhythms: 1-Divide students into teams and keep score. 2-Go around the circle and let each student play solo. 3-Play a rhythm track on the keyboard and have students play the patterns along with the track. 4-Choose a familiar song and use the patterns as an OSTINATO. 5-Use a variety of instruments to play the rhythms. 6-Divide the class in half. Group one plays the steady beat. Group two plays the rhythm cards. (switch)
