In this step, you will: • Find each source of information. 2. Locate the information in this source.
Here are a few tips to guide you as you search.
Make a list of keywords. These are words that are related to your topic.
You can use your keywords to locate your sources.
To locate books: Just type your keywords into OPAC and do a subject search.
Remember to write down the title and call number of each book you want to find.

You can use your keywords to look up information in encyclopedias, too.
Gg Find the volume that matches the first letter of your keyword. Kk Bb Pp
Use the guidewords at the top of each page to help you locate your keyword. Words will be arranged alphabetically.
4. Use your keywords to locate information in other resources, too.
You might find your keyword in the index at the back or in the table of contents at the beginning of a resource.
Your keywords will help you find information online, too. Try typing them in the search bar.
6. Remember to use keywords to help you search online databases like GaleOnline, as well.
Bookmark sites that you plan to use or return to.
You can even use keywords to locate a person to interview or a place to visit in the phone book.
The yellow pages will be organized alphabetically by subject.
8. Remember to record every source as you go. You will need this information later!
Good keywords can open information doors!
