General Information
9:00 school start time • Doors open at 8:45 -
9:00-11:00 – Rotation 1 11:00-11:30 – Rotation 2 11:30-12:20 – Intervention 12:25 – 12:40 – Recess 12:45-1:10 – Lunch 1:15-2:45 – Rotation 2 2:45-3:00-Prepare for Dismissal 3:00-3:50 - LAMPS
Recess • Unless it is raining, the heat index is over 100°, or the wind chill is below 32°, we will go outside! • Please dress your child appropriately or have them keep extra clothes at school.
Recess Equipment We could really use any of the following items: • Jump ropes • Soccer balls • Playground balls *No footballs please!
Snacks • Students will be allowed to have a snack before lunch. NO NUTS!!! • Snacks must be packaged. • Snacks may be eaten during the first rotation.
What happens when I am absent?
Sick Child • Child should not return to school until fever-free for 24 hours. • Upon his/her return, please provide a note or email explaining child’s absence. • It is student’s responsibility to get makeup work when they return
Make-Up Work • Work will not be sent to the office daily. • Parents may contact the teacher to obtain work after a student has been absent for two consecutive days.
Homework • Expectation is 100% - neat, timely, student-completed • Homework should be completed with the proper supplies. • Homework Supply Kit Needed • Working Lunch
Communication • Conduct card (weekly signature required) • Planner • Teacher Webpages • Parent / Teacher Conferences • Email / phone calls • Remind 101 • SeeSaw
Goal is to teach organization, independence, and responsibility – get ready for middle school • Students MUST be held accountable for their choices and be made responsible for their work.

Science • Cover Earth, Physical, Life • Homework is weekly • Test based on units, not chapters • Study guide is given at beginning of unit • Science notebook should be reviewed on a regular basis • Unit Projects • TN state test is a pilot this year
Math • TN Ready Test • Fluency in facts for multiplication and division • Interactive notebook • Weekly Math Facts Test • Eureka Math
Social Studies • Civil War to present day (WWII by April) • Interactive Notebooks • Critical / higher level thinking • Application
