  1. WELCOME 7th and 8th Grade PARENTS! Ms. Mayorga, Ms. Chacon, Mrs. Gomez, Mrs. Breto, Mr. Castillo, Mr. Gomez, Mr. Weatherly, Coach Gracia

  2. Reminders for everyone: • Some reminders for this year: • 3 unexcused absences still equal a referral. However, you have 3 days to bring a note to me for it to be excused. • 10 unexcused tardies= a referral. • $5.00= 1 hour. Gift Cards are no longer accepted!! • The contract states parents need to complete 30 volunteer hours per family; 15 per additional sibling. • Don’t forget to check your children’s progress through the parent portal. • Make sure documentation has been turned in to homeroom teacher (i.e. contracts, data cards, lunch applications ) • End-of-year awards

Reminders for everyone: • Uniform Policy (this is being strictly enforced; notes will be sent home followed by a referral) • 8th graders: black or teal uniform shirts • All students: • Khaki or Navy blue pants ONLY • Solid ALL BLACK shoes • Girls may not wear Toms or black flats/ballet shoes. Sneakers only. • Black belts (no studded belts); if girls wear belts, they must be black as well • Boys must have their shirts tucked in at all times. • Navy blue jackets/sweaters only (preferably ones with the school emblem) • How to order uniforms: place online order on Mater Gardens website under PARENTS- MAKE A PAYMENT. Uniforms will be distributed on Tuesdays to the students.

  4. Mater Lakes Articulation- 8th grade • As per a recent ruling from the Mater Board rule: • “The Board discussed the need for the Articulation Agreement Mater Gardens Middle and Mater Lakes High; this will allow Mater Gardens students enrollment preference at Mater Academy Lakes. It is discussed how such an agreement was previously in place, how it was discontinued for several years to qualify for the Federal Grant program. • APPROVED: The Board unanimously approved the Articulation Agreement Mater Gardens Middle and Mater Lakes High.
