Steps for Work Groups • Choose a terminology to suit purpose • Is content available? • IF YES – USE IT • IF NO (and you know the system you need e.g. SNOMED CT) request content from • IF NATIONAL – National Release Centre • IF THAT OPTION UNAVAILABLE – HL7 Terminology Authority • OTHERWISE OR NOT SURE • Seek help from HL7 Terminology Authority
