VISION Evolve The Learning Center of Dr. Phillips and South Park to a model preparatory preschool where: • The education of the young child is perfected through the student learning process (High Scope) and the teaching approach of Reggio Emilia, And • The preparation of the child to meet the Kindergarten requirements is given the highest rate by the state of Florida.
2011 – 2012 STRATEGY • Continue to grow South Park and Dr. Phillips centers • Provide a safe and functional environment • Promote continuous education of staff • Evolve TLC curriculum to result in students exceeding K readiness ratings • Seek Accreditation first through the establishment of the curriculum then the refinement of policies and procedures.
2010 - 2011 ACCOMPLISHMENTS • Facility • Maintained a safe and pleasant environment • Improved base operation at South Park. • Personnel • Maintained a reduced children/teacher ratio to enhance quality of teaching (avg. 9 children per teacher/assistant teacher) • Budgeted training for staff exceeding DCF and employee career path requirements. Met ELCOC credentials for VPK requirements. • Fine tuning teachers assignments to position for future growth at South Park • Training ongoing for all teaching staff members
2010 – 2011 ACCOMPLISHMENTS • Services • Continued enrollment to meet parents requirements with program flexibility. • Promoted school events. • Obtained quality curriculum rating of 192 pts. out of 200 for Dr. Phillips VPK (on ELCOC recognition list) and 188 pts. out of 200 for South Park. • Graduated 55+ VPK students at Dr. Phillips and 40+ VPK students at South Park. • Continued 4C support for parents. • Met Devereux requirements for TLC program.
2010 -2011 ACCOMPLISHMENTS – South Park • Operations • Supported the parent association charter. • Implemented changes to policies and procedures to meet new DCF & Health regulations. • Continued growth of TLC Curriculum • Marketed centers and built up enrollment to close to 92 by Fall 2010 at South Park and 125 at Dr. Phillips. • Improved all operating systems (AR/AP, Accounting, Marketing, Provisioning, Purchasing, etc.)
2011 - 2012 GOALS • Facility • Grow South Park Center to reach 70% of capacity by August 2011 (105 students) for South Park and 93% of capacity (125 students) for Dr. Phillips. • Initiate badge Id for all staff members. • Personnel • Enhance communications among staff members and between teachers and parents • Continue to obtain appropriate credentials for staff to be accredited and provide VPK classes. • Continue to implement the Director, Attendance, Recognition and Service Anniversary programs.
2011 - 2012 GOALS • Services • Support the TPA for Dr. Phillips and South Park. • Conduct annual Parent Survey to measure satisfaction level. • Complete new preschool web site and services by 10/11 for both preschools. • Operations • Keep abreast of rules and regulations and any updates that impacts our school and take action when applicable. • Maintain a low Incident/Accident rate • Continue to deploy DAP, High Scope Project Based Curriculum and complete Reggio Emilia integration by May 2012 • Understand Brain Research Studies and results, and start integrating Reggio Emilia approach to teaching with Gardner’s multiple Intelligence to start with 2012-2013 school year. • Seek Accreditation by Summer 2012.
