  4. Learning Styles Research in the Shannon Consortium. Third Level Institutions in the Shannon region are working together as part of the Strategic Information Fund (SIF) to profile their first year learners so that we can all find out ways in which you learn best. Our Learning Styles Questionnaire comprises of 44 questions which help you to profile your learning style. This is not a test and there are no right or wrong answers! The results of the completed questionnaire will appear on the screen in a few minutes of completing the survey and a copy of the results will also be e mailed directly to the email address you provided. The results of the individual questionnaires completed are confidential which you can choose to share with others if you wish. Through this research exercise, it is our aim to collectively profile first year learners in each Institution and across the Consortium. The research completed will not be used to identify individual learner profiles. Thanks for agreeing to take part in this exercise. It will help you to understand more about yourself as a learner and will also assist the Consortium in profiling and understanding our learners.
