ELICIT • Elicit – to draw out; to bring out. Example: The police officer tried to elicit the truth from the unresponsive suspect.
ILLICIT • Illicit – illegal. Example: The disgraced mayor refused to admit his part in the illicit activities. I’m not guilty!!! >:-C
PIQUE • Pique – (noun) offend; resentment (verb) to arouse curiosity. Example: He was piqued when NASA went to the moon.
PEEK • Peek – glance; sneak a quick look. Example: The video clearly showed him peeking into his neighbor’s window.
RAIN • Rain – precipitation in the form of water. Example: The mosquitoes will soon be out of force, as a result of all the rain we’ve had lately.
REIGN • Rein – period of a monarch’s rule; the act of presiding over a country or a group. Example: The King’s reign ended abruptly when he was killed in battle.
WHICH • I sometimes spell the word which, wich. I think it might be because the first H is silent.
PAMPHLETS • Pamphlets – a complete publication of generally less than eighty pages stitched or stapled together and usually having a paper cover.
FEBRUARY • I used to misspell February because it doesn’t sound like it’s pronounced. It sounds like Febuary instead of February.
