I Will: Count My Benefits Rather Than My Burdens: • I will look beyond my present situations and choose to be grateful.
I Will: Show Others That I Appreciate Them: • I will express my gratefulness through both my attitude and actions.
I Will: Make Time to Thank: • Gratefulness implies action. It is more than just feeling. Take time to express gratefulness by sending a “Thank You” note.
I Will: Take Care of My Things: • When you are given something, you can show your gratefulness by taking care of it.
I Will: Be Content With What I Have: • I will remember that true joy and happiness are not dependent on material wealth or possessions.
Five Keys to Gratefulness: • Count Your Benefits: Attitudes are greatly influenced by one’s outlook or perspective. • Identify Your Benefactors: Gratefulness can be expressed through both attitudes and actions. • Make Time to Thank: We will always have to take time from other pressures in order to give time to what is important. • Express Your Thanks: Say “Thank You” with your words-and also your life. • Simplify Expectations: If you are not grateful for what you have right now, you will never be content with that “one more thing.”
