  4. Communist leader, Slobodan Milosevic, nicknamed the “Butcher of the Balkans,” was arrested for crimes against humanity (ethnic cleansing) and genocide. In Bosnia, he tried to rid his nation of non-Serbs. He died in his prison cell before being convicted.
