The children are counting with dimes, nickels and pennies. We have worked on adding ten to numbers on the hundreds chart. The children are also working on missing partners with higher numbers. Stories to Practice Please Listen to your Child Read the Following Stories: Decodable Reader, Trash Rules On-Level Reader, Save Paper, Save Trees *Extra Book (The extra books needs to be returned in the ziplock bag on Monday.) Please practice, practice, practice until your child can read the above stories proficiently! GREEN EGGS AND HAM! March 9th will be a special day! We will make green eggs & ham at school. If you have a copy of the book, Green Eggs and Ham, please send it to school with your child on Thursday, March 9th . Please write your child’s name on the inside cover of this book. READ, READ, READ! The more a child reads, the better reader he/she becomes. Take time to sit next to your child and listen to them read to you. It will help to increase their reading fluency.
