Introduction to Pieter Stalenhoef • An aspiring chef, and an experienced financial service administrator, Pieter Stalenhoefis currently working for Wells Fargo as an equity analyst. • Working in this role, he covers publicly traded companies in three sectors – media, consumer, and healthcare. • He has received his Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and a Master of Investment Management from Boston University • Pieter has also been an active member of the Boston Security Analysts Society for more than 18 years now.

Pieter’s Opinion on Writer’s Block • Pieter Stalenhoef is also an aspiring novelist who totally enjoys writing when not working and is even working on finishing two books. • Treading on this road, Pieter got to know about a lot of things including the writer’s block and has even realized that it is nothing but an excuse. • Spending all this time writing has made him believe that writers who have failed to undertake proper planning and/or are engaged in work that lacks clear structure are more likely to suffer from writer’s block because they have little or no idea about how to proceed with their writing.

Pieter’s Professional Life • Pieter Stalenhoefhas been handling analysis, valuation, and security selection for the Wells Fargo Global Opportunities Fund for the last eight years. • In this role, he also develops models for earnings and cash-flow while collaborating with the international team in his company on new stock ideas. • Before he started working in this position, Pieter worked for a number of investment-industry jobs, including the positions of analyst for the Wells Fargo (then Evergreen) Emerging Market Fund and associate analyst and senior research assistant for Evergreen Investments.
