Scheduling Facts to Know • 7 Period Day (student will earn 7 credits each school year if they pass all classes) • FCHS students graduate with one of two diplomas • Enrichment Diploma, 26 credits • Academic Diploma, 27 credits, this diploma meets pre-collegecurriculum, requires 2 years of a single foreign language • FCHS students will be College and/ or Career Ready upon graduation
What Is College Ready? • A student has met the benchmark ACT scores for English, Reading, & Math • A student has taken an academically-rigorous course load in high school. This course load meets the state graduation requirements, includes: • earning one credit in Chemistry or Physics • earning two credits of a single Foreign Language
Getting College Ready • Throughout high school, data is collected and monitored from CERT testing, state testing, classroom testing. If a student is not meeting the benchmark(s), student may be placed into a required Reading course or Math Enrichment course. For seniors, COMPASS, KYOTE tests may be administered to help seniors become College Ready
What Is Career Ready? • A student has selected a Career Cluster • A student has completed a Career Pathway for their selected Career Cluster; the Career Pathway is comprised of four specific credits within that FCHS or CTC Program • Student demonstrates proficiency on exit assessment (KOSSA, ASVAB, IRCs) • Student may earn Industry Certification upon completion of Career Pathway

Requirements For Graduation • 4 years (credits) of English, required courses: • English I • English 2 • English 2 • English 4 • 4 years of Math, required courses: • Algebra 1 • Geometry • Algebra 2 • Senior Math Course
Required Graduation Courses • 3 years (credits)of Science, required: • Integrated Science 1/ Integrated Science 2, • Biology, • Chemistry or Physics or Physical Science 3 • 3 years (credits) of Social Studies, required: • Global Studies, • World History or AP European History, • U.S. History or AP U.S History
Required Graduation Courses • 1 year (credit) Fine Arts • ½ credit of Health • ½ credit of PE or one year of J-ROTC • 2 years (credits) of a single Foreign Language for the Academic Diploma which meets Pre-College Curriculum
High School Classes for College Credit • FCHS offers an extensive AP curriculum. An AP class is a college course taught by a high school teacher. At the end of the course, student takes the AP exam. If the student earns a passing score, the college/ university may award college credit for the course. • Dual Credit Courses – FCHS/ CTC do offer dual-credit courses. A dual credit course is a college course taught by a college instructor, student earns high school and/ or college credit for the course.

Scheduling To Do List For Students • Select Your Career Cluster • Work on Your Course Requests for Next Year by doing the following: • Select the English/ Math/ Science/ Social Studies classes for your schedule • Select other classes necessary to meet graduation requirements • Select Career Cluster class or classes that meet Career Pathway
Scheduling To Do List For Students • Ask your teachers for input about which classes to take; this includes which level (i.e. regular or Pre-AP or AP) • Ask elective teachers for input on Career Cluster/ Pathway classes to take • ****AGAIN This Year ****Enter your course requests in the Infinite Campus Student Portal by Monday, March 17th • Turn Course Request Form into Homeroom Teacher
Scheduling To Do List For Students • Be sure you Choose 7 Credits (1/2 year classes are only ½ credit) • Be sure you Choose 3 Alternate Courses • If you do not choose enough credits or courses, the school reserves the right to choose for you • Course Requests are Binding (You will be expected to keep/ take the classes that you have been registered for)

Suggested 12th Grade Schedule • English IV or AP English Literature • Math (consult with current math teacher) • 5 additional elective courses • Check to make sure you have met all graduation requirements!
