Performance in Health Care: Present Status • We have lot of work to do • We spend 14% -15% of GNP in healthcare in US as compared to 6% - 10% in most EU, GB, and Canada • We have the highest % uninsured among western nations (40 million) • One of the lowest life expectancy among western nations • One of the highest infant mortality rates
