Progress as of June, 2012 • Consolidated into a single integrated organization comprised of 175 staff and academic personnel • 5HRService Centers Live comprised of “teams” that focus on service delivery to departments; and that provide consultative and transactional services for matters relating to staff HR and academic personnel • Academic Affairs and HR Specialty Centers that focus on campus-wide constituents to ensure compliance with AP and HR policy; and also provide best practice advice, develop and deliver programs • Introduced enabling technology to support shared services, including the HR Service Request System to initiate service requests and track status/performance and the MPM that performs complex calculations for health science faculty and streamlines funding changes • Reduced overall cost of delivering academic and HR services • Initiated standardization of all staff and academic practices
UCSF Human Resources Advisory Board • Provide input on service levels and service delivery • Advise on new and/or anticipated customer needs and requirements • Provide input on budget • Ensure alignment with UCSF-wide goals
UCSF Human Resources Advisory Board • Membership • Nine representatives from across campus • Worked with Deans’ offices, control points and academic senate to determine representatives • Vice Provost, Academic Affairs and Senior Vice Chancellor, Finance and Administration are sponsors • David Gardner is academic senate representative
