  2. Logging into Google Docs • Fowler portal is located on TIES page • Still in infancy stage • Haven’t signed up? Don’t worry… it’s easy!

  3. You’re at the front door… Now what? • After logging in you’ll see multiple options…

  4. Your Google Hub • Section “A” is where you create new docs including a Form • Section “B” allows you to search for Templates that I’ve created for you.

  5. Creating a New Form • First, select “Create new” and choose Form. • Name your quiz or survey • Choose the type of question you wish to create for your quiz or survey.

  6. Creating a New Form cont… • It might be a good idea for your 1st question to be a text box for students to record their name. • There are several tools for you to use besides the question type. • The requirement checkbox is helpful for important responses.

  7. Creating a New Form cont… Don’t forget to: • Edit your confirmation • Double check for spelling and grammar errors • Change your Theme… • Click Save (if necessary) • Close the window

  8. Searching for Existing Templates

  9. Your Google Hub • Section “B” allows you to search for Templates that I’ve created for you.

  10. Growing Pains suck! • The District Template database is unlinked… • For the time being, we’re using the Public Templates to save our Forms.

  11. Public Templates • To search for a Fowler form, type “FESD”. • You also can search by category and type.

  12. Public Templates cont… • You can preview a Form to determine if it’s right for you. • If it is right for you, select “Use this template”

  13. Public Templates cont… • The selected template will now display in “edit mode”. Make changes as necessary. • See the earlier section of PPT “Creating a New Form” for editing options • Save and close when finished

  14. Public Templates cont… • Find your Google Hub. • You’ll find a Form that is entitled “Copy of…” • Right Click on the Form and select “Rename” to change your desired title. • Refresh the page.

  15. Add to ‘Favorites’ on the computer Create a hyperlink on your desktop Paste the link into a email Paste the link onto your webpage Add the link to an existing picture on your webpage Embed the Form on your webpage Others??? Sharing your Form Easy! Medium Challenging
