BACKGROUND • The Road Accident Fund is in need of a service provider who can Supply, Installation And Upgrading Of Security Systems Including Maintenance for 3 years. • The following offices have been identified for the security system needs: • Cape Town branch • Durban branch • Johannesburg branch • East London branch • It is important that security equipment or systems be compatible to IXP 400 series. • The service provider or company must have five (5) years or more of experience in the Supply, Installation And Upgrading Of Security Systems Including Maintenance.

Details of the Bid • REQUEST FOR BID: • Supply, Installation And Upgrading Of Security Systems Including • Maintenance for a Period Of Three Years • Compulsory briefing sessions from 10 to 15 January 2013 in the four respective offices. • Closing date 25 January 2013. • All questions / enquiries outside this forum will be via email to: tsholok@raf.co.za not later than 11:00 on 17th January 2013 • Questions/ Answers will be published on the RAF website by 18th January 2013.

Evaluation Criteria • Mandatory Requirements • The following specific requirements must be met by the bidders and it • will be expected of bidders to supply proof or confirm their commitment • where applicable. • The bidder must be PSIRA accredited. Please furnish the RAF with documentary proof of accreditation. • The bidder must have worksmans compensation. Please furnish the RAF with proof thereof. • NB:FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ALL OF THE MANDATORY • REQUIREMENTS WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION
Technical / Functional Requirements • The technical criterion that will be utilized to test the capability of • The service providers • Technical criterion will be evaluated against the following detailed • requirements: • The bidder must have provided a company profile. • The bidder must provide a project implementation plan for the supply, installation, service and maintenance of security equipment in the four offices of the RAF with milestones. Please include the duration on Guarantees and Warrantees’. • The bidder must have relevant experience in the Installation and supply of security systems. • Please provide references of similar work done in the past 3 years; indicating the Company Name, Contact Details, summary of the scope of Work, Duration of the Contract (start and end dates) and email addresses. • The bidder must have at least 2 experienced service technicians with an NQF 4 qualification for each office, for the maintenance and service of the security equipment. Please provide curriculum vitae’s. • The bidder must provide a training plan. • All bidders who score 55 or more out of 75points will be shortlisted for site visit.
Technical / Functional Requirements • Site visit • The bidder must be able to take the RAF team to one of the referenced clients where security systems were installed. • All Bidders who score LESS than 75 out of 100 on functional / technical • including site visit will not be considered for further evaluation on Price and BEE
