  3. How can you infer that Beowulf is honorable? • He refuses weapons because Grendal uses none, Higlac is Beowulf’s cousin, He is the strongest of the Geats, or he vows to ambush Grendal and destroy the monster

  5. What is the theme to Beowulf? • Might makes right, Brains are superior to brawn, Wickedness cannot be defeated, and Valor will triumph

  6. Wiglaf thinks he an his comrades should help Beowulf fight the dragon ,because….. • Beowulf is too old and sick to fight, it will increase Beowulf’s chance of victory, or in the past they had promised to repay Beowulf’s kindness with their lives
