Teaching Online with ANGEL Welcome to Teaching Online with ANGEL. This course provides you with the valuable opportunity to take an online course before teaching one. This course is designed to simulate a realistic online course experience so you can better appreciate the online student perspective. You will be using three different course sites in Teaching Online with ANGEL. The first is the “Teaching Online with ANGEL” course site, which contains the course content for this online workshop. The second, “your last name ANGEL,” is the course site you will work in as an instructor to complete the course content creation assignments. The third, “your partner’s last name ANGEL” course site, is where you will play the role of a student for your partner in this workshop.
Teaching Online with ANGEL In this workshop, you will be completing 10 graded assignments. Teaching Online with ANGEL is designed to be taken over a two-week period. However, you may find it more convenient to work at a faster pace. You have been assigned a partner for the course. Contact your partner, and work at a pace convenient for both of you. The next few slides describe the login process and opening page in ANGEL.
ANGEL Login Page Login instructions The individual staff or faculty member’s username is the usual windows username. The password is the usual windows password. In order to change the password, a person must use the windows facility on campus. The username is not case sensitive but the password is. The username and password for your students is automatically generated for them when they register. Have your students click on the link "Login Information" on the Login page in ANGEL to determine their usernames and passwords.
Home Home includes hyperlinks to all courses that you are teaching or taking, as well as to groups that you are leading or participating in. Home is considered your ANGEL homepage. A variety of things can be displayed on this page, including announcements, a calculator, and new mail. Additionally, this page contains a variety of tools that assist in instructional work. When you are inside your course site, Home can be accessed by clicking on the Home Icon on the left side of the screen. ANGEL My Page

To Edit Content on your Home page Located under the Home title, the Edit Page hyperlink allows a user to change what is shown on Home. The Edit Page tool uses drag-n-drop to move items to different locations on your Home page. Available components are displayed in the Available Components list. To add a component to your Home page: Select the item from the list. Click the Add Component >> button. The component is displayed in its default location. ANGEL My Page
