NMAC Updates • Updated the NMAC organization chart to reflect membership changes; USFS representative is Steve Gage and NMAC Group Coordinator is Susie Stingley-Russell • NMAC revising processes and supporting documents • Good After Action Review and interface with Geographic Area Chairs
National Mob Guide Updates • Chapter 20 • Revised Cost Coding for BIA and NPS • Revised Resource Extension Request Form to remove GACC approval responsibility for single overhead resource • Name Requests are still issue (make sure logical documentation is added in ROSS to support the request).
National Mob Guide Updates (continued) • Chapter 60 • Added Buying Team (Taylor) to Southern Area. The Northern Rockies has dropped one Buying Team (Schilz) • Added wording to allow NMAC and GMACs to have flexibility when determining IMT availability when primary Command and General Staff personnel are not available
SEATs, Scoopers • 54 SEATs on On-Call (CWN) contract • Exclusive Use contracts: BLM 11, BIA 4. Additionally, but dependent upon sequester, an additional 10-20 exclusive SEATs may be added • Two CL-215s on 180 day Exclusive Use Contract beginning mid-April, shared between EA (30-days), AK (80-days), and NW or SO upon evaluation
Large Airtankers • Up to 24 large Airtankers(LATs) • Up to 8 large airtankers on “Legacy” exclusive use (EU) contracts • Up to 8 CV-580 Convairs through agreements with the state of Alaska and the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre • 8 military C-130s equipped with Modular Airborne Fire Fighting Systems (MAFFS) • Up to 3 very large airtankers (VLATs) available through “call when needed (CWN)” contracts;
Fixed Wing ASM/LP/IR/Large Trans • BLM: 4 ASMs plus an extra pilot • FS: 14 about ½ of which are ASM • 2 ea. IR aircraft (Cessna Citation and King Air) • Large Tran: FS contract w/ Sierra Pacific; NICC can charter as needed for large transport aircraft to augment when Sierra Pacific capacity is exceeded
Helicopters • 34 – Type 1 EXC (FS large fire support) • 33 – Type 2 EXC Standard Category (FS) • Includes the night flight that will based in WJF • 6 – Type 2 EXC Standard Category (BLM) • 1 – Type 2 EXC Standard (NPS) • 198 CWN • 87 Type 1 • 57 Type 2 Standard Category • 54 Type 2 Restricted Category
Equipment • Caterer and Shower contracts, requirements and ordering procedures remain the same as 2012 • 30 Caterer locations between 18 vendors • 35 shower locations between 24 vendors (8 of which also have small units, which vary in size from 4 to 11 stalls)
Issues for Awareness • Not all geographic areas have the same processes for “Lend/Lease” of resources • Do not “Lend/Lease” contracts like showers, caterers, etc. • In coming team preorders where they are replacing existing team are problematic • Communicate through the Dispatch Centers and GACCs when there are incident support issues with self-sufficiency, payment for baggage fees, etc.
Issues for Awareness • DOD leaning forward
