This guide should help you if you have a customer who has accidentally changed the language settings on their TV. It will take you through how to find the language settings on the TV’s setup menu and includes a glossary/ translation guide at the back to help you find what you’re looking for.
Once the TV is switched on, press the main menu button. There are three different types of menu for Technika TVs. Menu 1 Menu 2 Menu 3 Icons run across the top of the menu screen. Icons run down the left hand side of the menu screen. Features text in a list running down the menu screen. Pressing OK will bring up another similar looking menu. Ask if the customer has icons along the top of the menu, running down the left hand side or if they have text in a list. Also, check the manual if there is one available as it may have a general reset function that will reset the unit back to English automatically.
MENU 1 • Scroll across the icons along the top of the screen using the “◄” and “►” buttons on the remote control. • Language settings will usually be found in the menu on the far right hand side and will usually be the top option. • Use the word guide at the end of this guide to help you find the correct option to adjust.
Menu 2 • Scroll across the icons along the top of the screen using the “▲” and “▼” buttons on the remote control. • Language settings will usually be found in the “settings” or “function” menu at the bottom of the list of icons and will usually be the top option within that menu. • Use the word guide at the end of this guide to help you find the correct option to adjust.
Menu 3 • When menu first appears, press “▼” 6 times and then “OK”. • 3 options should appear. Press “▼” once and then “OK”. • Use the “◄” and “►” buttons to cycle through the options at the top until “English” is displayed. Press OK to lock the language change. Once an option for English has been found, press “OK” or “Enter” on the remote to finalise the change.
Glossary/ Notes The following is a list of words that might help you in finding the language option on some TVs.
