  2. What is Infection ? • An Infection occurs when the body failed to fight against an attack by micro-organisms Examples: • Bacteria • Virus • Fungus • Parasite

  3. Is Hand washing really Effective? A simple experiment was done to confirm the effectiveness of handwashing. Hand impressions of healthcare workers before & after handwashing with an antimicrobial product were placed on blood agar plates and incubated overnight. Results show that handwashing removes up to 95% of the transient microbial load from dirty hands.
