Exercise-testing our assumptions • Spend ten minutes jotting down why you think users come to Bobst • In three groups (assigned) go to either (assigned): • First floor reference desk • Fourth floor • BLCC computer lab • Jot down what users are doing • Share your assumptions and realities with class

  5. Exercise: Personas  (30 minutes) In assigned groups  • Review transcripts provided to you (each take a few)      report back observations to the group, including:  • types of user -i.e., undergrad, grad, faculty, other,  • level of familiarity with library  • type of problem, issue or question  • other • Write a draft persona of a user to share with class

  6. Prototyping

  7. Exercise: Prototyping (20 minutes) 2 volunteers. 1 note taker, 1 driver As a class, review the Library Homepage and-using the persona work and observational studies-re-consider the content. What would you keep? What would you remove?
