  6. CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS Trainings: Davao City Chapter: conduct of series of trainings on DM for the kids in partnership with the DepEd Region XI, City Schools Division and the City’s Private Schools. A total of 820 participants / students graduated from the said course which was conducted in various schools (34 to be exact) from January 2009 – October 2009.

  7. CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS Trainings: Disaster Management Course was held first week of February facilitated by NFR-DMS Elder Madiclum and CSR – DMS of Palawan Chapter, Cathy Larracas.   CBDMT Re-echo Training held at Brgy. Hall Panacan 2 last February 08-09, 2009, Palawan.

  8. Red Cross Volunteer and Typhoon Ondoy beneficiaries are preparing for the distribution of NFI and Hygiene Kit in Quezon City with the German Red Cross and Humanitarian Aid of the Republic of Germany and PNRC Chairman Richard J. Gordon, last Oct. 6, 2009 CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS Response Quezon City

  9. NATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS Training: Community-Based Disaster Management Training (CBDMT) funded by IFRC • Negros Occidental Bacolod – 5 Teams • Surigao del Sur – 11 Teams • Surigao del Norte – 5 teams • Southern Leyte – 2 Teams • Laguna - 3 Teams • Pangasinan – 5 Teams • Zambales – 5 Teams

NATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS Response: Typhoons Ondoy / Pepeng and Santi Operations: Deployed 21 WASAR Teams for 3 days in partnership with Coast Guard and SBMA Deployment of assessment teams to conduct rapid and detailed assessment Deployment of Assessment Teams composed of PNRC National Disaster Response Teams and IFRC Regional Disaster Response Teams ( Southeast Asia) (With specialization in Health, WatSan, Relief, PSP and Shelter)
