George Washington • 1754, the governor of Virginia ushered George Washington, a 21 year old surveyor into history. • Washington was sent to Ohio area to command 150 militiamen. • They met French troops in the woods and fired upon the French killing their leader. It was short-lived because the French returned with reinforcements causing Washington to surrender.
