What a MQIS QE does: An MQIS (Manufacturing and Quality Information System) QE works with corporate and plant QRO to identify opportunities for MQIS usage to meet corporate and plant short and long term goals. An MQIS QE assists manufacturing locations to use MQIS to enhance productivity and quality. An MQIS QE provides training, assists with MQIS database configuration, troubleshoots issues and builds relationships and networks with the MQIS user community. Corporate QRO PLM Specification Team GBS, IDC Who a MQIS QE works with: Quality & Regulatory Operations MQIS Quality Engineer Software Systems Used Quality & Operations team members at Manufacturing Locations: GMI-Owned & Contract Operations • MQIS Admin Tool • MQIS Reporter • MQIS .NET Forms • PL/SQL • MS Office Programs • Incuity EMI MQIS Programmers & Extended Support Team QRO MQIS QE When a MQIS Quality Engineer works, what do they do and when do they do it? • Daily • Assist MQIS users with configuration • Troubleshoot MQIS issues • Perform database clean up tasks & contract MQIS Admin work • Mark up product specifications with changes needed for MQIS and review final specs • Gather data via MQIS reports for analysis • Participate in project and user conference calls/meetings • Interact with the GBS team to ensure accurate transfer of data from specifications (PLM system) to MQIS • Weekly • Review information provided by plants for MQIS start ups and wellness visits • Develop action plans to support functionality implementations • Update user documentation • Interact with MQIS programmers to resolve code issues or discuss coding needs • Gather information for training materials or functionality specific user manuals. • Coordinate and communicate weekly tasks with QRO MQIS Quality Team • Monthly • Work on tasks for MQIS start ups and wellness visits • As needed, travel to locations to complete startups and wellness visits • Complete special projects as directed • Serve as a liaison between MQIS programmers and user community • Recommend MQIS enhancements • Test MQIS enhancements/code • Provide user training • Develop action steps to meet plant and QRO goals • Review monthly plant metric data
