Process of Our Master Schedule Development • Committee reviewed five sample schedules and ranked the top two. • Principal sought input from various stakeholders. • Committee reviewed feedback from stakeholders. • Committee made final recommendation to the Board of Education. • Final proposals were presented to BOE Education Committee.

  5. Where Are We Now? • Nine period day, 40 minute-periods • Four core classes (LA, Math, Sci, SS) • 9000 minutes in grades 6 & 7—including academic cycle • 7200 minutes in grade 8 • World Language exploratory in grades 6 & 7; full-year in grade 8 • PE and Exploratory/Elective each day • Enrichment in grades 6-8 • Lunch/Advisory

  6. Proposed Schedule • Cores are 40 minutes, 60 minutes, and 80 minutes long and rotate. • All grades receive 9900 minutes of instructional time per core class. • PE/Exploratory/Elective meet every day. • Lunch is 20 minutes, only one team at a time. • World Language meets everyday. • FAPA period meets everyday. • Pull-outs from Exploratory, PE, Electives, FAPA.
