Where do I find my child’s Goal Sheet? • Each teacher is discussing MAP Growth with students and emphasizing GROWTH through a personalized learning path. • Mrs. Ketcher and Mrs. Peña de Martínez are meeting with every 5th, 4th, and 3rd grader to set personal goals. • Goal sheets are stapled in their agenda or in student’s data folder.

What does RIT Mean? “Ready for Instruction Today” MAP Growth uses the RIT (Rasch Unit) scale to help measure and compare academic growth RIT Range: 100 (K) – 350 (HS)
How are teachers using MAP Growth Scores? Teacher are using RIT scores to: • Inform instruction • Personalize learning • Form instructional groups • Monitor individual student growth

When will my child take the winter NWEA MAP Growth Assessment ? The assessment is NOT timed, students will test in 45 minute blocks. • K December 11-13 • 1st-2nd December 12 Math December 13 Reading • 3rd-4th December 4 Math December 5 Reading December 6 Science All reports will be sent home prior to the winter break – plan to discuss fall to winter growth during the next Parent/Teacher Conference 5th December 6 Math December 7 Reading December 10 Science
