Growth Goals as a Motivator • The Fall RIT scores should serve as a benchmark to determine growth goals for the school year. • The Winter MAP Test should serve as checkpoint for progress being made toward those growth targets made for the Spring. • Setting growth goals provides motivation to teachers and students. • Goals are more authentic if they are discussed one-on-one with a student throughout the school year to discuss their progress.
