Baltic Dental Meeting18-19 August 2011 LDA Working Group in 2009 established by active members(not only board) for solving real daily problems in each dental practice. *To do the members' protection in conflictsituations with official organizations(inspections, centers, etc) * To develop proposal for legislative recension *To partisipate in Ministry’s working groups for drafting new rules or changing previous(even to show the problems) *To criate the varios letters to authorities for pointing out dentist’s needs

Baltic Dental Meeting18-19 August 2011 X-ray • 15 different documents and contracts- about practice staff, premises, facilities, quality programs etc.. • Expenses of licence (new )approx 354 LVL (492 EUR) • Each year’s expenses approx 200 LVL (285 EUR) • The license is granted for 3-5 years
Baltic Dental Meeting18-19 August 2011 Our requirement * extend the license period to 10 years * not equipment inspections= calibration (&payment) yearly , but after 5 years we hope new rules will be accepted till the end of this year (ready document in Ministry and harmonized with EC)
Baltic Dental Meeting18-19 August 2011 Occupational Physician Attendance every 2nd year. 644 X-ray users from all Latvia visiting 1 consulting-centre in RIGA Our requirement- if everyone occupational physician in Latvia be allowed to examine dentists(X-ray users) locally in regional cities The letter and attendance to the Commission of Functions Audit of State Chancellery. We got OK for it in May 18th! Now 2 Ministries (Health and Welfare should create changes in rules)
Baltic Dental Meeting18-19 August 2011 Disinfection and Sterilization * LDA recommends the establishing of Autoclaves (B class as multifunctional is the best) * Dry air sterilizers will be accepted until year 2018 * LDA was very strict on Cancelation the BOWI- Dick test duering steam autoclave procedure(was included by manufacturer’s interest) * An instument handling table- instruments are grouped according to their degree of risk

What about the quality?)

Wee decided to offer for Health Ministry: * Demand full (real) payment for children’s dental care. * When the dentist has used the money quota allocated by the State , he formes a row of the children’s dental care
