I. When was it launched? - It was launched in 2006 at Sheraton Addis. • H.E.Girma W/ Giorgis, the President of Ethiopia, The patriarch of EOTC, the Arch bishop of ECC, and the General Secretary of ECFE • Board members, Church leaders, and members of the Bible society were present in the official opening of the Good Samaritan Project.
II. Uniqueness • It is biblically based. • Harmonizes the Scientific with biblical knowledge. • Encourages good ethics and abstinence of sex before marriage.
III. Extending Bible Society presence • Love for All ( PLHIV) - They have 360 members - Registered by ministry of Justice as PLWHA association. - GSP Eth. Trained them with TOT and gave them office in BSE. - Tekabe and I are Board members.
III. Extending Bible Society presence Love for All - They carry out many Decentralized workshop in the community. • Work along side GSP as volunteer • They serve in five Gov. hospitals as counselors. • They have a program called “come and drink coffee.” to educate the community about HIV/AIDS

III. Extending Bible Society presence 2. Schools 2.1. Junior and High schools - Catholic School in D/dawa every Saturday for three month. - Medhanialem High School * Teachers and students trained * HIV/AIDs club established
III. Extending Bible Society presence 2.2. Colleges - Top Art College ( Social Science College) - Graduating students encouraged to take GST. - The Dean proposed the GST to be given as module course for the Graduating Students.
III. Extending Bible Society presence 2.3. Theological College - Mekele Theological College took the Training. - The principal asked GST to be given as a course.
III. Extending Bible Society presence 3. Ethiopian Diaspora 3.1. Djibouti, - TOT workshops was given - Good Samaritan committee was established to do the follow up.

III. Extending Bible Society presence 4. Church Relation 4.1. The EOTC/ ECC/ ECFE were able to sit together to discuss on National issues (HIV/AIDS). 4.2. Create mutual understanding and respect among Churches.

III. Extending Bible Society presence 6. Promote BSE work - Recruit members for BS - Recruit volunteers for DW. - Create a chance to interact with the Bible.
IV. Result/ Impact 1. Testimonies • Before they took the seminar many of them had fear, wrong belief about the virus. • Many develop confidence and ready to reveal themselves.
IV. Result/ Impact 2. HIV Test • The seminar encouraged many to take voluntary test. • For many Families and churches HIV Test is very important before marriage.
IV. Result/ Impact 3. HIV/AIDS control office in Ethiopia, Government offices, and Churches extend their appreciation in different ways.
IV. Result/ Impact 4. Requests - The demand we have is more than we can handle.
