  5. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA • PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT • COLLECTION OF INFORMATION AND RESOURCES • CHOICE AND APPLICATION OF TECHNIQUES • ANAYSIS OF INFORMATION • ORGANIZATION OF WRITTEN WORK • ANALYSIS OF PROCESS AND OUTCOME • PERSONAL ENGAGEMENT

  6. SUPERVISORS MEET REGULARLY WITH STUDENTS HELP STUDENTS NARROW AND FOCUS THEIR IDEAS REVIEW STUDENT’S PROCESS JOURNAL WITH STUDENT GIVE FEEDBACK COMMUNICATE WITH COORDINATOR AND PARENTS ASSESS PERSONAL ENGAGEMENT IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE APPOINTMENTS WITH THE SUPERVISOR!!

FIRST DUE DATES (changes) September 20th: Action Plan + November 17th: Research Analysis • Justification of GOAL, PRODUCT, AOI • Detailed Action Plan: Backwards from GOAL • RESEARCH QUESTIONS • Working bibliography • Complete Bibliography • Research Evidence • Write up of research: New learning re: Context, AOI, Subject, Goal, Product, impact on original action plan • Revisions and progress check on Action Plan

HOW CAN YOU HELP? • TALK TO STUDENTS ABOUT THEIR TOPICS, PROJECTS AND PROGRESS • HELP STUDENTS OBTAIN MATERIALS • GUIDE STUDENTS IN PLANNING THEIR TIME EFFECTIVELY • KEEP DEADLINE DATES ON PROMINENT DISPLAY AT HOME • CONTACT SUPERVISOR, GRADE LEVEL TEAM LEADER OR PERSONAL PROJECT COORDINATOR WITH CONCERNS
