2012-2013 Center for PD • We received 197 Requests for Services (up from 47 in 2011-2012). • We delivered 332 days of PD to 30 school districts, non-public schools, and educational organizations. • We have agreements signed from districts for 7 Packages. Services include: Math Support, Reading Apprenticeship, LETRS, and SWPBIS.
Behind the Scenes • Continue to train instructional coaches to meet the needs of districts • Market our Packages to districts and develop new ones as needed. These packages are easier to track and schedule. They also build deeper relationships with districts and encourage long-term implementation of programs. • Organize regional trainings for our popular services: Reading Apprenticeship, PA LETRS, Behavior (SWPBIS), Inclusive Practices. This will allow our services to reach more districts.
New Benedum Grant Proposal • To realize the full potential of the C4PD as a leader in the field of educational services in the region, IU1 is seeking funding to • better communicate what we do, • create innovative learning spaces to serve as labs for educators and pre-service teachers, and • expand our expertise in leadership development. • One-year grant will be funded in December 2013.
